This interactive session is best suited to breastfeeding specialists and is ideal for small groups of 30 or less. It covers:

  • Likely and unlikely causes of breast pain, including shooting pains between feedings
  • Effective treatments for each
  • The controversy over the existence of ductal candidiasis

Provides strategies for assessing likely and unlikely causes of breast pain and an overview of effective treatments.  It also answers the question: Can shooting or burning pain between feedings be caused by ductal candidiasis, and if not, what other possible causes should we consider?
